I’m happiest when I’m working with a diverse and motivated team, and right now I’m looking for the perfect spot to do killer work. I’m a graduate of one of the best graphic design & visual communication colleges in Canada, where I gained a solid classical training which has been a great foundation for the 12+ years of professional agency experience I’ve gained–most of which has been digital-led.
I’m most at home coming up with ideas, and I’m almost always the guy who generates the early territories and creative directions that lead to a final platform. I’m great working solo, but brainstorming and collaborating with talented art directors and writers is the most fun. I get a lot of satisfaction bringing my seasoned design skills to the table to direct and design impressive comps. I present creative with a confident flair and love the thrill of getting the client to what I call the “hook point”: that magical point in a presentation when the client feels the power of great work and gets excited about the final deliverable.
I think of myself as a “high-concept” thinker, always pushing for concept-driven and idea-led solutions. I also have a craftsman’s love for interactive advertising and have truly fine-tuned my banner skills working under the best, over at Freestyle Interactive. I dedicated four years to rich interactive advertising in video games, which was hugely rewarding, helping EA continually innovate in the rich banner space.
Over my career, I’ve participated in award-winning digital projects, some winning Cannes Cyber-Lions for work on Nike and Mercedes-Benz. I’ve worked for top digital agencies in San Francisco like Freestyle Interactive, Teak Digital, BSSP, Grey, Havas, and others.
