When human terror is the key takeaway, why not put a real terrified person in the ad?

For the launch of the dead space horror video game, EA wanted something truly terrifying. The brief called for a “fighting for your life kind of fear.” The client chose the concept called, “Snatched,” which stuffed real live terrified people into online banners so that clawing monsters could snatch them out.

As the Art Director on this title, I led the work through from concept to completion. This execution was a complex project that involved greenscreen video shoots, casting, talent, costumes, photoshopped environments, code-driven particle animations and creative editing. The hardcore gamer communities went nuts!
