Although relatively Jr back in 2001, a Senior Designer at the time, I was able to join the much coveted Nike design team. The new project, Nike iD, was this idea of a shoe configurator that would allow users to create one-off custom shoes. I reported to Steve Savic, and we had the distinct privilege of bringing to life the coolest element–the 360 view. How would the module work? What cool ways can we call out features? How should hot spots work? This design was UX 101 on NIKEiD 1.0 … a digital creative’s dream. The live NIKEiD site was the result of a great team effort. It felt great to have been a part of such an iconic award-winning project.
